AmandaHey there!
I'm Laura, the smiley face you'll spot as soon as you walk through
our office door. With a serious case of wanderlust, I've done it all - lived
abroad, cruised the seas, island hopped, even cruised around South Africa on
the back of a motorbike! I am all about the adventure. But let me tell you
about my ultimate love affair - Africa!
For three wild years, I bounced between Australia and South
Africa, travelled to almost every corner on the bake of a motorbike. I’ve sat
with Elephants for hours, seen the big cats hunting, slept under the stars in
the middle of a game reserve. My heart belongs to the wildlife, and if you're
an animal lover like me, trust me, Africa is the place to be.
They say home is where the heart is, and I left a piece of mine in
Africa. Nothing makes me happier than helping others experience its magic.
Sure, I'm a newbie in the travel industry, but exploring the world has been my
jam since day one. The more I learn, the more excited I get about sharing the
adventure with you!
So, whatever you are dreaming of, I'm here to make your travel dreams come true!
Laura
I am passionate about sustainable travel for the future.
My entire career of 30 years has been in travel sales and tourism. I have travelled overseas more than a hundred times to over 70 countries and 6 continents for personal holidays, business and leisure.
I've made my home in London, Dorset, Chamonix and Auckland. I settled back in my home town of Christchurch after being away for five years.
I love travel and how it enriches lives and provides a livelihood for people and communities around the globe. I love helping to inspire and inform clients, who care about the impact their choices have on local communities and the environment, and who want to have a great holiday.
Sustainable doesn't mean you can't have luxury! My personal holidays always have a sense of adventure, you will find me on a beach or mountain or taking in a cultural experience to make the most of a destination.
I personally rate train travel one of the best ways to casually explore, there's nothing I love more than checking in at a downtown railway station off to a new destination. I think travel provides new perspectives and respect for different cultures and values are par for the course. We can always find common ground when we are prepared to go out of our comfort zone.
Why book your travel with me? I am a CLIA certified Cruise Master and dedicated to helping you with your travel plans. I have the tools and the networks available to assist with all styles of travel experiences you may be looking for.

Travel fuels my soul, the experiences, the opportunities, the culture, the adventures, I have been lucky enough to have a career that is a labour of love. Planning holidays with a high degree of skill, attention and knowledge has become my trade mark.
I absolutely adore planning epic family trips, luxurious holidays alongside organizing a lot of corporate travel business as well. I also travel a lot, as often as I can so I have up to date first hand experience in so many areas. This has given me the skill and experience to share with my clients and ensure they also come away with travel experiences second to none. I work with a large referral business and I do require appointments to fully assess what is going to be right for you and start planning your holiday.

After 30 years selling travel, its still a buzz creating fabulous holidays, watching my clients anticipation and being apart of the planning, knowing the excitement they have towards their journey and of course hearing all about it when they return ... It's almost as good as being on the trip with them!
Travel has really changed over the last few years, so let me help you navigate this new travel era, and create a holiday to remember, with the backing of an incredible House of Travel team.

What is the best time of year for Kiwis to visit the Gold Coast?
The Gold Coast is a fantastic destination year- round, with nearly 300 days of sunshine each year! We recommend visiting during the months May-October when the weather is warm, sunny, dry and more calm making it ideal to escape the winter in New Zealand and enjoy beach and water activities. We’d recommend avoiding the summer months December-February when there’s high humidity, rainfall & short tropical storms that occur, and during November over the course of three weeks when the city experiences ‘Schoolies’ with crowds of school graduates.
